My Global Audience

In class I made a infographic about my global audience ( Blog ). I really enjoyed making this and being creative on Canva.

Equivalent Fractions.

Today for maths my group learnt equivalent fractions. Our teacher told us to do prototec. We had to do the part where we had to change fractions into percentages, and decimals into fractions. I really learnt a lot and I got it right.

Creating a positive digital footprint

In class we made infographics on cybersmart and digital footprints. We made it on canva. I really enjoyed it.

Problem Solving DLO

Today in class we made DLO's. All of them were subtraction. I used two different strategies. Algorithm and Whole numbers. I enjoyed doing this because before we did the DLO, we talked in groups to help each other understand the problems. I liked it because it really made me think.

Problem Solving DLO

Today in maths we did DLO's (Digital Learning Objects). We made DLO's on finding the right strategy to solve subtraction and addition problem. It was easy for me to do because I already learnt this in the class room.

Science Roadshow

Today at Baradene College, the Science Roadshow people did a show for many different schools including my school, Glen Innes School. They showed us the two different types of scientific changes. Physical changes and Chemical changes. They showed us what each changes do. Physical changes never change, but Chemical changes can be different. They showed us different models to do with science. We had to look for a orange and white card. It had four models on it. We had to explain what the science behind the models are. They put two shows on for us. One before we started to look around and before we left. The shows were about chemical reactions, physical reactions, evaporation, and many more things. I enjoyed it so much, it was amazing, I hope I get another opportunity like that again.

Problem Solving

Today my class created a DLO (Digital Learning Objects). It was pretty easy because before we started doing our DLO we did some collaborative work, to help each other figure out the best strategy.

I solved it!

I had to solve subtraction problems using algorithm and here it is.

WALT: solve subtraction problems using algorithm

In 1984 the men's world record for the 100m sprint was 10.02 seconds.
Today the world record for sprinting is 9.58 seconds. What is the
difference between the two records?
         9
      9 1 1
    10.02
-    9.58
     0.44

I used algorithm. The question is 10.02 minus 9.58. I took one away from the
10.02 and added to the tenths column in 10.02. Now it is 9.102 minus 9.58.
I took one away from the 0.100 and added to the 0.02, it is now 9.912 minus
9.58. 0.012 minus 0.8 equals 0.04.  0.9 minus 0.5 equals 0.4.  9.0 minus 9.0
equals 0.   0.04 plus 0.4 and 0.0 equals 0.44.

It was easy for me because I understand how to use algorithm.

Subtracting and Adding Fractions

In the first session I played a math "game" which helps improve my subtracting and adding fractions. This helps me quite a lot....
